1. 2 oz Charcoal Gel Cleanser - Made with activated bamboo charcoal to gently exfoliate while detoxing your pores, leaving your skin feeling fresh and hydrated. This gel cleanser will lather up nicely and remove all your makeup or build-up on your skin. It smells lightly of tea tree oil and a little citrus. It is a great cleanser to detox pores and really clean your skin!
2. 2 oz Tea Tree Toner - Restore your skin’s natural barrier and pH level. Made with Tea tree oil, apple cider vinegar, and white willow bark that are antibacterial and help calm inflammation and balance your skins pH. It is so important to put your skins pH to where it needs to be so that bacteria will not start more breakouts. There is an invisible layer on skin that is healthy, called the "Acid Mantle". It gets removed when you wash your face. The toner will "re-set" it for you and keep you protected from bacteria.
3. 1 oz B3 & B5 Serum - Targets the very first stage of acne (sebum oxidization) and prevents pimples from developing in the first place. When sebum in a pore meets the air and has no protection or the pH is too high, your natural acid mantle is gone and pimples begin to form. Spray the Tea Tree Toner on a cotton ball until damp and gently swipe all across your face and neck area. Apply 4 drops of the MCT & Tea Tree oil and massage into your face and neck.
When to use the Microdermabrasion Scrub: You will use this 2-3 times a week. We recommend using in the shower so your pores have time to open up. Use only after double cleansing your face with the Charcoal Gel Cleanser. Use a dime-sized amount and massage gently in a circular motion for a minute, rinse away completely.
Tips & Tricks for Acne:
When washing your face at the sink, use a clean washcloth each time to pat your face dry, bacteria grows FAST on all towels even just after one use.
When in the shower, wash your face and body AFTER shampooing and conditioning. Having shampoo and conditioner run down your face and body will cause breakouts if you do not wash your face and body after this happens.
Change your pillowcase every night. This is so important! You spend hours with your face against your pillow, doing this multiple times without changing it causes so much bacteria build-up and that directly affects your skin! Oil from your hair and face ends up being absorbed into the fabric and then you lay on it again, night after night — depositing more oil onto the pillowcase and then back onto your skin. If possible, wash your pillow! (or get a new one if you haven’t in a while) Even though your pillowcase acts as a layer of protection, your pillow can still absorb years and years of oil. A pillowcase protector is also an option if you cannot wash your pillow often.
Not all products are created equal. Fragrances in your products, “long wear” makeup, primers, setting-sprays, and more all have the ability to clog your pores. When selecting makeup, look for words like oil-free, non-comedogenic, or non-acnegenic. These terms mean the products won’t clog pores or stimulate excess oil production. Always thoroughly remove any makeup from your face as soon as possible, and remember to clean your makeup brushes regularly! They can easily harbor bacteria. If you have noticed acne on or under your chin, and or on your neck, this may have to do with the hair care products you are using. When an option, plant-based is always best for your health and skin.
Switch to a free and clear laundry detergent and do not use fabric softeners. Fragrance filled detergents and softeners are not your bestie. Replace your scented fabric softener with distilled white vinegar. Your clothes will NOT smell like vinegar, we promise! It helps remove even more bacteria and build-up that's in your clothes and leaves them feeling so soft and smelling fresh and clean. Use 1/4 cup of vinegar per load.
