B5 Pantothenic Acid - Provitamin B5 is in personal care products is most noted for its ability to function as a humectant, a water-binding substance that attracts and retains water.

As a humectant, provitamin B5 stabilizes the skin barrier function, reducing the amount of water lost through the skin. When you apply provitamin B5 formulas to the skin, you will not only increase the hydration but your skin will feel soft and have improved elasticity, making provitamin B5 perfect for the treatment of dry, scaly or red rough skin.

Provitamin B5 goes beyond its role as a moisturizer and acts as a natural skin healer and protectant.  When applied to the skin, it offers relief from redness, itchiness and pain. Wounds treated with provitamin B5 have resulted in regenerated tissue that is more solid and elastic.  A 2002 "Journal of Dermatological Treatment" study noted that provitamin B5 enhanced the repair of the skin barrier (acid mantle barrier) while reducing inflammation. As well, it acts as a barrier, shielding the skin from irritation.

Provitamin B5's effectiveness in hydrating, soothing, healing and protecting skin makes it an effective ingredient  to alleviate : acne, bed sores, minor cuts, diaper rash, contact dermatitis (produced when the skin comes in contact with irritants or allergens), eczema, insect bites, scrapes and sunburn.

B3 Niacinamide is known to:
Boost your skins' immunity and reduce redness and pore size. Langerhans cells are these little cells in your skin that are responsible for protecting and repairing the internal mechanisms of your skin. When you expose your skin to the sun, especially when you burn your skin, they temporarily retreat (they are shy) leaving the skin without its natural immunity against invading microbes or safeguards against the forming of precancerous lesions.

Greatly Improve epidermal barrier performance. Everything about your skin is better when the epidermal lipid barrier is functioning at its peak. Your lipid barrier (acid mantle) helps retain moisture, keeps it hydrated for longer, and will protect your skin from invasions and harshness of the environment.

Fix a lot of the redness and blotchiness in the skin. With an improved epidermal lipid barrier, the skin’s natural ability to protect itself from external aggressions becomes greatly improved.

Regulate the oil flow (perfect for oily skin). When your skin retains its natural moisture with a well-functioning lipid barrier, the natural oil flow from your pores becomes controlled.

Protects your skin from sunlight, specifically infrared light. Niacinamide will protect and guard the skin from the infrared heat of the sun, as well as the damaging effects of UV exposure, infrared activates free radicals and stimulates an overproduction of pigmented cells, and if your pigmentation is from hormonal challenges, heat is a big problem. Niacinamide protects the skin from heat.

Reduce Hyper-pigmentation Brown Spots. When a pigment transfers (melanosomes) from your melanocytes to surrounding areas skin of your top layers of skin, it is known as a tan.

Minimize aging lines & wrinkles. Niacinamide boosts collagen production. Along with the improvement of the skin’s lipid barrier comes an increase in cell differentiation and signals better synthesis, forming of collagen and elastin.

Targets the very first stage of acne (sebum oxidization) and prevents pimples from developing in the first place. When sebum in a pore meets the air and has no protection or the pH is too high, and your natural acid mantle is gone because of a cleanser or water that is too high alkaline, the pimple begins to form.

Use twice daily after cleansing and toning. Use 3-5 drops and gently rub in. Additionally, apply a moisturizer such as our MSM Gel for even more hydration!

If your product arrives to you and has gotten warm in transit, simply place it in your refrigerator for an hour. Then remove and use! All-natural products are not stabilized with harsh synthetics and chemicals, and so they may become soft in too warm conditions.
